RNA-Seq Data Analysis Hands-on Training

RNA-Seq Data Analysis Hands-on Training

Online Event

25 February 2021 | 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. SGT

Join us in learning the basics to analysing data from a RNA‑Seq experiment in Partek® Flow® bioinformatics software using simple point-and-click gestures. Attendees will work with a test dataset during this event. This course will be conducted online.

Please join the training from a computer running Google Chrome.

You will learn how to:

  • Import RNA-Seq data from unaligned fastq files, aligned bam files and gene counts
  • Generate and read pre alignment QA/QC report
  • Trim adaptors and reads for good alignment outcome
  • Generate and read post alignment QA/QC report
  • Quantify reads to gene annotation database
  • Generate and read quantification report
  • Understand several RNA-Seq specific normalization methods
  • Carry out differential gene analysis across multiple samples with false discovery rate correction
  • Carry out gene ontology enrichment and pathway enrichment analysis
  • Plot and edit visualizations for RNA-Seq: PCA, dot plot, heat map, volcano plot, pathway map
