St. Louis, Missouri – September 13, 2007 – Partek Incorporated announced today that it has licensed Partek® Genomics SuiteTM (Partek GS) software to SUNY Upstate Medical University.

Researchers from the department of Neuroscience and Physiology at the university will use Partek GS to analyze whole genome association, copy number, and DNA methylation data from their genetic studies in neuropsychiatric disorders. SUNY, located in Syracuse, is the only academic medical center in central New York.

Partek GS software provides powerful statistical analysis integrated with interactive data visualization and is designed to efficiently process large volumes of high-dimensional genomic/proteomic data. Partek GS allows for thorough analysis of gene expression, exon alternative splicing, copy number, genome-wide SNP, and ChIP-chip regulation data within in the same software package. In addition, Partek GS provides easy to use workflows to walk through the analysis process. Partek GS is Affymetrix GeneChip-compatibleTM for gene expression analysis, exon expression analysis, chromosomal copy number analysis, tiling array analysis, and chromosomal copy number analysis of high density SNP arrays.

Partek Incorporated is a leading provider of statistical analysis and interactive data visualization software for the scientific research community. Partek software enables researchers to quickly identify and quantify patterns in data, including data resulting from genomic and proteomic studies, high-throughput screening campaigns, and computer aided drug design. Partek is located in St. Louis, Missouri.
