Partek Scatter Plot on the Cover of Toxicological Sciences Journal

ST. LOUIS, MO - September 28, 2005 – Partek Incorporated announced today that the cover of the September 2005 issue of Toxicological Sciences has featured Partek’s popular scatter plot.

The scatter plot, produced in Partek® Genomics Suite, is visualizing non-human primate and human whole blood tissue gene expression profiles after principal components analysis was used to map the 54,000-dimensional data set into 3-dimensional space. The data came from James F. Dillman III and Christopher S. Phillips’ study, Comparison of Non-Human Primate and Human Whole Blood Tissue Gene Expression Profiles. Dillman and Phillips presented their work at the March 7, 2005 poster session during the Society of Toxicology Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana. Both men are affiliated with the Applied Pharmacology Branch of the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

The Toxicological Sciences journal is published by Oxford University Press and is the official journal of the Society of Toxicology.
